Project Goals
|
The Under One Roof project has three main goals:
- Change social norms and expectations in our community about people with disabilities, so that community members of all ages, employers, and recreational providers welcome the participation and contributions of a diverse group of people.
- Connect people who experience disabilities and their families to local opportunities for family support, recreation, and employment, so that they can develop relationships in the same manner as other community members.
- Model full participation of people of all ages and abilities in the community and at The River Center: A place for community resources and connections. The River Center organizations (The Family Center; Core Parenting; MAPS Counseling; Monadnock ServiceLink / Community Network Team; Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter Office; Southern NH Services Fuel Assistance; WIC; CSFP; Monadnock Family Services Senior Excercise program; Monadnock Kempo Karate) will welcome individuals who experience disability and their families.
